Remove the hassle of having to write and store your driving hours. Service NSW offers a number of digital Log books for your convienence. Your driving hours are logged safe and secure through the APPS provided.

Unsure about any aspect of driving? No problem. The Road users' hand book provides you with practicle information in relation to: Road safety, Low risk driving, NSW road rules, vehicle registration, and driving offences. This handbook is essential for people learning to drive and if your looking to upgrade your licence. The handbook also comes in a few differnt languages for your convience.

The Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) is the first step you take to obtain your Learners permit. You must pass this test before you can start driving. The test is a number of questions in relation to: General Knowledge, road rules/safety and signs. Service NSW offer a bank of questions to help you practice in a PDF. They also have an APP you can download to practice these on an apple or andriod device. The test is timed and practicing staying to the time limit can help you to succeed.

Are you ready to get your learners permit or progress to the next step?

Booking the DKT or HPT is very simple:

• go to the Sevice NSW website.
• Select the 'Book online' button.
• Select 'Your details (existing Transport customer)' or 'First time customer' or 'Log in'.
• Enter your details and select 'Continue'.
• Choose a test.
• Choose a location.
• Choose a date and time.
• Enter payment details.
• Confirm and pay.
• View, print or email your confirmation

If you fail, you can attempt the test as many times as you like. But there must be 7 days between each attempt. Every attempt will cost you a fee, which you pay before each test.
